android OS vs iphone OS..i think both are equally good. android will eventually catch up with the amount and quality of the apps that iphone has therefore the apps that i'm looking for in the itunes app store would eventually make its way to the android's market.
looking at the current situation of mobile makers, i expect android OS upgrades to end for each handset within a year or less with the amount android phones and OS being churned out. i'm currently using Samsung's Omnia and WM 6.5 was released 1-2 years back. there were rumors of an upgrade from 6.1 to 6.5 but in the end it didn't happen even after a petition. the same is now being seen in the Samsung Galaxy which was Samsung's first android phone. i had to resort to 'cooked' firmwares to get WM 6.5 onto the Omnia so would android phones end up being the same? will older generations of android handsets be ignored when the new OS is released?
iphone on the other hand is a safer bet when it comes to upgrading the firmware coz even 2G had access to the OS 3.0.
though i don't mind getting an android phone, the OS upgrade might be problematic if i wanna keep my phone for at least 2 years, so i'm leaning a little towards iphone.
any android users wanna try convincing me? XD
